I've never received a response from a photo like I did for this one. I posted it last week and it has 681 views with 63 people calling it a favorite and it made explore.

I was shooting a Wesleyan cross country race and had just moved to a new position down a hill and into the woods. It was raining, dark and gloomy so I need to fire a few shot to set the ISO high enough to maintain my 1/800th of a second shutter speed.

This image was one of the test shots before I started shooting the Wesleyan runners.

I had the good fortune to cover the UCONN vs. Virginia football Saturday night at the Rent (Rentschler Field, East Hartford). UCONN won the game easily 45-10. Donald Brown (pictured here) ran for 206 yards on 20 carries and was named the Big East Player of the Week.

UCONN battled BU last night to a 0-0 tie. There were several yellow cards and a red card on UCONN. Even though there were no goals there was a lot of action and the students were great. They are called the Goal Patrol and if you've been watching my Flick account you've seen them in all of their glory.

Last night was the end of the summer race down at the Riverfront Park. It's a great opportunity to get some different shots. There are lots of different colors and textures. I try and get down low and up high then I decide later which shot works better.

For this image a narrow depth of field and a low skewed angle worked the best. It's the kind of image that people take a second look at that's what I'm after.

UCONN football practice was open to the media last Tuesday. I covered the event for the Manchester JI.

Travelers Championship

Tommy Armour III tees off on the par 4 number 15 Sunday at the Travelers Championship. I worked the tournament for the Willimantic Chronicle on Saturday and Sunday. Despite a rain delay on Sunday the tournament was a sucuss. Stewart Cink won the tournament for the second time. His first win came back in 1997.
